As the leaves change color and the weather cools down, there is one thing we know for sure. Autumn has arrived! While we love the versatility of a summer wedding, there is something about fall weddings that are cozy, inviting, and full of love!

We are overjoyed at the opportunity to showcase Sara & Cotton’s western-inspired wedding in Forsyth, MT. Photographed by Cheers MT Premier Vendor, Jen Petritz Photography, this rustic wedding is the ultimate #fallweddinginspiration! Jen is a Montana-based wedding photographer with a love for adventure. If you have been looking for an out-of-the-box photographer to perfectly capture your wedding day, give Jen Petritz a ring!

Their Love Story Begins

Cotton and Sara lived only forty miles apart while growing up. To some, this distance might seem like a lot, but in Eastern Montana, that is a typical trip to the grocery store! After knowing each other for many years, their romance officially blossomed following high school. Simply put, the rest is history!

The Proposal

Cotton proposed to Sara on the night of September 5, 2020.

Cotton and Sara were circled around a campfire on a perfect Montana night, surrounded by some of their closest family and friends. He got down on one knee, and of course, the answer was yes! Cotton and Sara are best friends and just recently became parents to a perfect little cowboy!

The Bride

Dressed in an elegant lace gown from Step’n Out Bridal, a bridal shop based in Billings, MT, Sara looked so beautiful on her wedding day. With a stunning braided updo and a smokey makeup look, she fit right in with the western vibe of her big day!

The Bridal Party

Sara and Cotton were lucky to be surrounded by those they love and care about most on their wedding day!

Sara’s bridesmaids, wearing beautiful jewel-toned navy blue gowns, were perfectly accented by the western getup of each of Cotton’s groomsmen.

The Details

Cotton and Sara’s rustic MT wedding had no lack of character. From the beautiful navy, dusty blue, and beige florals, to their western wedding decor & accents, we wouldn’t have been surprised had we seen this wedding among the pages of a magazine!

While the details of this day were all to die for, we seriously love their branded-tiered wedding cake. Topped off with the Prairie Rose Cowboy Cake Topper, sold here in our Cheers MT shop and both online and in-store at Montana Gift Corral, this beautiful creation was perfect for their one-of-a-kind celebration!

The Wedding Day

Sara and Cotton’s beautiful Montana wedding was hosted at the Rosebud County Fairgrounds in Forsyth, MT!

From their heartfelt first looks to their beautiful western ceremony, and of course, their joy-filled celebration afterward, these lovebirds were able to ring in their first day as a married couple surrounded by their closest friends, family, and loved ones!
