Looking back at this stunning July wedding, we are thrilled to share the picture-perfect moments that the annual Mountainside Weddings giveaway has brought to life. Nestled in beautiful Whitefish, MT, this cherished event is an annual celebration of love and gratitude for active and veteran military couples!

Rachel & Andrew, the winners of the 2023 Mountainside Weddings Military Wedding Giveaway created memories as their vows were exchanged amidst the stunning forest backdrop of this beloved Montana wedding venue. The meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that every aspect of their dream wedding package was nothing short of perfection. From the elegantly designed ceremony and reception spaces to the full-service meal artfully crafted by The Kopper Kitchen – every element contributed to the magic of this wonderful event. With the help of Kelly Kirksey Photographer, and a team of incredible Montana wedding vendors, their big day and its priceless details were coordinated and captured perfectly.

Rachel + Andrew

Rachel and Andrew, both active military stationed at Grand Forks Base in North Dakota, first met on July 27th. Rachel had just arrived on the base and attended a mentoring luncheon where she crossed paths with Andrew. Despite not being in the same mentor group, Andrew introduced himself afterward. A month later, they spent a long weekend playing pool and lost track of time due to their endless conversation. They became inseparable from that point on!

Though they weren’t thrilled about being stationed in flat North Dakota, Rachel and Andrew found love unexpectedly. They both shared a love for mountains, and Andrew had studied in Montana. When they entered the Mountainside Weddings Military Wedding Giveaway, it felt natural as they joked about retiring in Montana!

Their dream came true when, on the same date they met, July 27th, Rachel and Andrew got married surrounded by the mountains. This marked the beginning of their life together in such a stunning location that will always hold a special place in their hearts!

The Bridal Party

Rachel and Andrew’s big day was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by their incredible “I Do” crew. With their closest friends, family, and loved ones by their side, the atmosphere was overflowing with love and support.

The bridesmaids rocked stunning mismatched sky blue gowns, while the groomsmen looked sharp in timeless black suits paired with sky blue ties that perfectly matched the theme. The bridesmaids’ makeup, expertly done by Elegance by Joy Renee, added a touch of glam. And can we talk about the theme? An elegant neutral-colored wedding set in the gorgeous Montana mountains – so perfect!

Details

Rachel and Andrew said “I Do” with the stunning mountain backdrop of Mountainside Weddings in Whitefish, MT. Lush lawns, serene gardens, a pond, and a spacious pavilion nestled in National Forest Land make this well-known Montana wedding venue a true paradise on any couple’s special day!

The wedding stationery, spearheaded by Seventh & Anderson, a Cheers MT Premier vendor, was a true masterpiece. Forest green invites with elegant script were paired with rustic “wooden” accents and a luxurious wax seal, capturing the outdoor charm and sophistication!

Alpine Designs, a local Polson, MT florist, added their touch with textured floral arrangements and bouquets of soft off-white blooms and fresh greenery, blending beautifully with the ethereal Montana landscape.

And we can’t forget about the bride’s stunning getup! Rachel’s lace gown was a true highlight. Its intricate details and gracefulness perfectly added to the magic of their summertime wedding.

Intimate First Looks & Private Vow Exchange

Here at Cheers MT, we are firm believers that the first look, set away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding celebration is a must. Rachel shared a first look not just with her soon-to-be husband, but also with her father. These moments are about more than just photos; they’re about connecting, feeling the emotions, and cherishing the anticipation. First looks create memories that last, reminding us of the love and family that make weddings truly meaningful!

Plus, Rachel and Andrew carved out a special time to exchange their vows privately, creating a beautiful, intimate memory just for the two of them!

Wedding Ceremony

For their wedding ceremony, Rachel and Andrew joined their guests in front of the stunning wooded backdrop of Mountainside Weddings, which only added to the rustic charm of their wedding day. Instead of the traditional wedding arch, a gorgeous cross adorned with intricate floral designs took its place, like something out of a fairytale. Thanks to Celebrate Rentals, the ceremony was perfectly spruced up with lovely decorative and wooden accents, creating a moment that perfectly blended with the nature surrounding them!

Wedding Reception

Rachel and Andrew’s wedding reception was a beautiful celebration beneath the rustic pavilion at Mountainside Weddings. With elegant white drapery, soft lighting, and tables adorned with greenery and linens that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses and the wedding’s theme. Delicious treats from Bonjour Bakery & Bistro added the perfect touch of sweetness, while a custom guestbook by Someday Design Co Weddings added a personal touch. Full-service catering by The Kopper Kitchen ensured everyone had a delightful meal and small bites to boot. The highlight, of course, was celebrating with their loved ones and dancing the night away!
